XCyton's impressive success in making diagnostic products stems from the deep understanding of infectious diseases, biochemistry of the pathogens and sound foundations in immunochemistry and nucleic acid chemistry. XCyton exhibited the ability to understand the unmet medical needs of the clinicians and conceptualize products which can bridge gap between available technologies and the medical needs. Thus there is an opportunity for XCyton to be a true translational research organization and take up the following tasks from other organizations:
- Product Conceptualization: From The inventions and discoveries of the universities XDPL will be able to formulate new products for the unmet diagnostic needs.
- Proof of Concept: With the immense prowess of huge intellectual capital that is there between XCyton and its collaborators any product concept can be converted in to a prototype. Prototype will be taken through a cyclical reiterative process of improvement between the bench and bed-side. This process can be fairly quick due to the availability of large patient population among the collaborating hospital. In less than six months proof of concept can be obtained in all infections and within one year for cancers.
- Clinical Evaluations: XCyton can also design and execute clinical evaluations of diagnostic products at the National Medical Institutions thus shortening the licensing process.
